Currently NewEn Australia is in the early stages of evaluating other prospective wind farm sites in Western Victoria and South Australia.
Morton’s Lane Wind Farm
This wind farm project was sold to Tianrun in 2010 as a permitted wind farm. It has since been built with 13 Goldwind turbines of 1.5MW capacity each. The wind farm is operating very successfully.
NewEn Australia’s other projects were sold to Trustpower Australia Holdings (now Tilt Renewables) in 2013. These included:
Salt Creek Wind Farm
This is a permitted wind farm and official construction had commenced at the time of sale. It is expected to be completed in 2018 with 15 wind turbines of about 3.6 MW capacity.
Dundonnell Wind Farm
This wind farm has received its development approval for 94 tubines of some 3MW capacity. The power line corridor has been secured and construction is expected to commence in 2018.
Church Lane Wind Farm
This wind farm site is situated between Dunkeld and Penshurst and is in an advanced stage of development. Environmental studies and wind data analysis have been undertaken, but a development application has not as yet been lodged.
Wingeel Wind Farm
This wind farm site is situated at Wingeel west of Inverleigh and is in an advanced development stage. Environmental studies and wind data analysis have been undertaken but a development application has not as yet been lodged.
