NewEn Australia is in the early stages of evaluating other prospective wind farm sites in Western Victoria.
Morton’s Lane Wind Farm
This wind farm project was sold to Tianrun in 2010 as a permitted wind farm. It has since been built with 13 Goldwind turbines of 1.5MW = 19.5MW capacity. The wind farm is operating very successfully.
NewEn Australia’s other projects were sold to Trustpower Australia Holdings (now Tilt Renewables) in 2013. These included:
Salt Creek Wind Farm
This was a permitted wind farm and official construction had commenced at the time of sale. It has been completed in July 2018 with 15 Vestas turbines of 3.6 MW = 54MW capacity.
Dundonnell Wind Farm
This wind farm received its development approval for 80 Vestas turbines of 4.2MW = 336MW capacity. The power line corridor has been secured and construction has commenced in early 2019.
Church Lane Wind Farm
This wind farm site is situated between Dunkeld and Penshurst. Environmental studies and wind data analysis have been undertaken, but a development application has not been lodged.
Wingeel Wind Farm
This wind farm site is situated at Wingeel west of Inverleigh. Environmental studies and wind data analysis have been undertaken but a development application has not been lodged.
