WPD International GmbH is a wholy owned subsidiary of WPD AG.

WPD AG (WPD) has been implementing renewable energy projects since 1996. It has its headquarters in Bremen (Germany) with further offices in London and Stockholm. Coming from its position as Germany’s leading sponsor and developer of onshore wind projects, now the international market, offshore wind projects and solar energy is coming into WPD’s focus.

WPD acts as sponsor, equity investor, financier, operator and developer of wind farms. WPD focuses mainly on comprehensive deal structuring, project control, advanced funding of project development costs, procuring equity, and the co-development of wind farms. In addition, WPD manages more than 110 wind farms, making it one of Germany’s leading wind farm asset managers.

These projects, with a total investment amount of more 1.2 billion EURO and a total power of approximately 1,400 MW, were developed and successfully placed on the wind energy market by WPD making WPD the market leader in the development of windfarm projects in Germany.

WPD offers services to international utilities and advice on state tenders in every stage of wind farm development. On the foreign market, WPD has founded subsidiaries in Spain, France, Italy, Sweden and Australia – with a number of projects currently under development.

Through its London office, WPD is connecting the international financial market with the wind business.

WPD has obtained an A-credit rating by Euler Hermes GmbH (Allianz-Group).
